Hướng nghiên cứu
Reproduce the workflow using the commands in the issue: create jammy and jammy-debug repos, publish with components main and main/debug, then run aptly publish update jammy ubuntu. Compare published metadata before and after to confirm the debug packages are dropped. Read the aptly publish update documentation and source to see if it supports updating multiple components or if a flag is missing; check for --skip-contents or similar. Done means either the correct command is documented or the update behavior is fixed to retain all components.

Mô tả
Hi!
I am not sure that this is actually an issue (or me not using aptly correctly).
Here is how we create the repo for Ubuntu:
aptly repo create -distribution=jammy jammy
aptly repo create -distribution=jammy jammy-debug
aptly repo add \
-force-replace \
jammy \
PATH/*.deb
# debug packages
aptly repo add \
-force-replace \
jammy-debug \
PATH/*.ddeb
aptly publish repo \
-component="main,main/debug" \
-distribution="jammy" \
jammy jammy-debug ubuntu
The published repo is then uploaded to our mirrors and we have quite a lot
around the world. We would like to be able to add some deb/ddeb to some
releases (plugins) and not sync again the whole repo but just the extra deb/ddeb
and metadata.
I thought I could just add the new deb/ddeb and then run something like:
aptly publish update \
jammy ubuntu
But this apparently removes from the local repository all the jammy-debug
content and I can't find the right command to update both jammy and
jammy-debug. Am I missing something or aptly publish update is not the
right command?
Aptly version: 1.6.3 on Debian 12.
