Hướng nghiên cứu

Start in the SkyWalking UI’s Trace Profiling view for Horizon 1.0.1 and locate the Tree and Flame graph rendering areas described in the issue. Check how their available height is determined and whether existing controls support hiding frames; the issue names no files or tests. Done means both views have more usable vertical space and users can hide common framework frames such as java.* and org.springframework.*.

Description

On Trace Profiling in Horizon 1.0.1, after selecting a sampled trace, a profiled span, and Analyze, the Tree is drawn in a short strip under the span list. The attached screenshot is the Tree view; the red box marks that strip. The rows that fit are framework frames (java.lang.Thread, org.apache.tomcat.*). The application frames sit further down and are hard to reach in this height.

The Flame graph is rendered in the same strip and has the same problem. A separate Flame graph screenshot is not attached.

Use case

I need to inspect application frames in a deep profiled stack. The visible area is filled by framework frames, and the Flame graph has the same limit.

  • Enough vertical space to read the Tree and Flame graph.
  • A way to hide common framework frames, such as java.*, jdk.*, org.springframework.*, and org.apache.tomcat.*.
