The warning comes from a Homebrew formula or cask that declares depends_on macos: with a string value; the issue does not say which file in the repo holds it, so search the repository for depends_on macos. Replace the string comparison with the symbol form the warning suggests, then run brew style or reinstall the cask to confirm the deprecation warning is gone. Done when the warning no longer appears and the formula still installs.
