Start with the repository's overview document, which the issue asks to update with the atomic load and store instructions from the phase 4 threads proposal. Read the phase 3 acquire-release atomics proposal to see what the interaction section should describe. Done means the overview lists those instructions for unshared arrays and includes a short description of how they interact with acquire-release atomics.

We don't have shared arrays (yet), so atomic loads and stores on arrays could not yet be used for synchronization, but in the future we do expect to have shared arrays, and then it will be useful to have multi-byte access to shared arrays.
For consistency with the atomic load and store instructions being valid with unshared memories, I think they should also be valid with unshared arrays, so it would be good to update the overview with at least the instructions from the phase 4 threads proposal. It would also be reasonable to describe the intended interaction with the phase 3 acquire-release atomics proposal as well.
