Start by tracing the backend scatter-plot handling for the showMissingness='allVariables' option and inspect how seriesX/Y values and trend lines are represented. Clarify the intended API response for missing entries, then consider the issue complete when missing values can be represented without being included in trend-line calculations.

seems like we should be able to add 'no data' entries to the seriesX/Y values but we wont be able to find trend lines over them. so this seems doable, but brings up some questions possibly around the API and how wed actually like the response formatted in this case.
