Mô tả

Description

The Aave v3 USDT (aUSDT) token icon on Ethereum mainnet renders clipped at the top and bottom in MetaMask.

Evidence

The CDN PNG is 250 × 227 (non-square), so the circular icon appears cut off at the top and bottom. Other aToken icons in the repo (e.g. aWETH, aWBTC) rasterize as proper squares (250 × 250).

The current SVG is malformed and predates the icon style guide:

  • Root declares width="250" height="250" together with viewBox="0 0 256 256" (inconsistent aspect)
  • Junk editor/export attributes (id="Group_30952", style="position: absolute; ...")
  • Duplicated <defs> with identical gradients
  • A nested <svg> element (forbidden by STYLEGUIDE.md)
  • Artwork touches the viewBox edges (outside the 80% safe area)

Proposed fix

Replace the icon with a clean, well-formed, square 250×250 SVG that keeps the current Aave aToken design (gradient ring + underlying token) using Aave's latest USDT artwork:

  • Single root <svg> (width="250" height="250" viewBox="0 0 250 250"), no nested SVG, no junk attributes, single <defs>-free gradient
  • White circular base + Aave gradient ring (#b6509e → #2ebac6), matching every other aToken icon in the repo
  • Latest USDT coin art (#26A17B, current Tether logo) sourced from Aave's own token icon set (aave/interface → public/icons/tokens/usdt.svg)

No metadata changes needed: name/symbol/decimals in the repo already match on-chain data (decimals 6; aUSDT is the long-standing display symbol override for on-chain aEthUSDT).
