Describe the bug
Drive and tape is detected, but format fails. Possible HBA card issue?

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Check out the recent branch with support for the new icu package name(s) on Debian/Ubuntu based systems:

git clone https://github.com/LinearTapeFileSystem/ltfs.git
git switch release/v2.4.9.0
git submodule update --init --recursive
./autogen.sh
./configure
make install

Build works without error - I have tried building with/without --enable-buggy-ifs and it makes no difference to the observed behavour (or messages shown).

Check drive is detected:

Is this a HBA driver issue? I have been using the drive happily with plain old tar for quite a while, but there's a few use cases where 'drag and drop' files would be a neater solution in certain cases.
