Read crates/pod-update/src/manifest.rs for the min_app field, then trace component dispatch and version lookup in crates/pod-updater/src/agent.rs, especially apply() and check(). Determine how layout.installed_version(App) is represented and compared; done means a component with an unmet minimum app version is not applied, or the field is removed, with tests covering the chosen behavior.

Manifest's Component carries min_app: Option documented as 'minimum app version required to apply this component' (crates/pod-update/src/manifest.rs:53-56), but nothing in the agent ever reads it — min_app is only ever written as None and never compared in apply()/check() (crates/pod-updater/src/agent.rs). This means an OS or MCU firmware component that declares a min_app dependency will be applied even when the installed app is older than required, exactly the incompatibility the field exists to prevent. Either enforce min_app against layout.installed_version(App) before dispatch, or drop the field.
