The payload names no source files, so start by reproducing: make the app the default camera, lock the device or emulator, and tap the thumbnail after a capture. Find the code that opens the captured media and check how the app's activities are declared for the lock screen. Done means the captured photo or video shows on the locked screen without falling back to the unlock prompt. The issue links #52 and lists no maintainer reply, so confirm the expected behaviour with maintainers first.

Steps to reproduce the bug
  1. Set up the app to be the main camera app
  2. Lock the phone
  3. Open the app from the lock screen
  4. Take a picture.
  5. The picture thumbnail appears next to the capture button. Click it
Expected behavior

The picture should be displayed in full

Actual behavior

The default app for images, or videos respectively, is opened. E.g. Fossify Gallery.
But this is not allowed on the locked phone, so you need to first unlock to view the taken image/video

The image/video should directly open and be viewable without unlocking.

Stretch: All images/videos captured in this app session, should be viewable, allowing to swipe through them.

Additional information

Making Fossify Camera available from lock screen apparently doesn't always work: #52

On my Emulator and on my non-Samsung phone it works like this:

  1. Install the application
  2. Start camera from lock screen.
  3. This will now not open a camera but instead ask to unlock. Because it will show you the app selector, with the stock camera app and Fossify Camera up for selection
  4. Select Fossify Camera and "Always"
  5. From now on, the Fossify camera will open directly
