I don’t have a credit card. Can I still deploy my final project if it has a separate frontend, backend API, and database?

Answer

Don’t enter payment details if you don’t have or don’t want to use a card. Free-plan signup requirements can vary or change, so check the provider’s current terms and choose a different service if the signup flow requires payment information.

For a split Vite frontend, FastAPI API, and PostgreSQL database, one possible setup is FastAPI Cloud Hobby, Vercel Hobby, and Neon Free. These plans have different limits and terms: check the current FastAPI Cloud plan details, Vercel Hobby terms, and Neon plan quotas. Configure the frontend’s API URL and the backend’s CORS allowlist for the deployed frontend. Store database URLs and signing keys in the providers’ secret settings, not in the repository. Verify the deployed app end to end, and keep within each plan’s usage limits. This stack is an example, not a course requirement.
