Summary

During remote SSH reconnects in --host mode, the client loses keyboard ownership and unbuffered SSH stderr corrupts the full-screen terminal buffer.

Items & Observed Behavior
  1. Loss of keyboard focus on redial: When an SSH link redials, the reconnecting client is treated as a new session arrival, displaying "typing from another window now" and requiring an extra Enter keypress to reclaim input focus.
  2. Terminal corruption from SSH stderr: Network drop/reconnect diagnostics from the underlying ssh process write directly to stderr while the terminal is in alternate-screen raw mode, painting error text over the TUI frame.
Expected Behavior
  • Reconnecting to an existing host session must seamlessly restore keyboard input without requiring manual reclamation if no other client took focus.
  • SSH stderr during redial must be buffered or redirected to session logs, never printed raw to the terminal while in raw/alternate screen mode.
