Start by locating the Welcome screen and File → New entry points, then read how Lithe creates and opens projects and imports Maven or Gradle workspaces. The issue calls for Spring Initializr metadata loading, a settings and dependency picker, archive download and extraction, and a configurable server URL. Done means a generated project opens in Lithe and its build import and run configuration detection begin automatically.

Problem to solve / 要解决的问题

There is currently no way to create a new Spring Boot project from within Lithe. To start a new project I have to leave the IDE, generate it on https://start.spring.io/ (or with another tool), download and unzip the archive, and then open the folder in Lithe. For an IDE focused on Java / Maven / Spring Boot development, this breaks the very first step of the workflow.

Proposed solution / 建议方案

I would like Lithe to offer a "New Project → Spring Boot" wizard, similar to IntelliJ IDEA's Spring Initializr integration, backed by the Spring Initializr API (https://start.spring.io/, with a configurable server URL for self-hosted Initializr instances):

  1. Project settings: name, location, build tool (Maven / Gradle - Groovy / Gradle - Kotlin), language (Java / Kotlin / Groovy), group, artifact, package name, packaging (Jar / War), Java version, and Spring Boot version, with the option lists loaded from the Initializr metadata endpoint.
  2. Dependency picker: searchable list of starters grouped by category (Web, SQL, Security, …), as provided by the Initializr metadata.
  3. Generate: download the project archive, extract it to the chosen location, and open it in Lithe, so the Maven/Gradle import and run configuration detection start automatically.

Entry points could be the Welcome screen ("New") and File → New.
