Research direction

No file, test, or CLI entry point is named. Start by reproducing the request with a large OpenAPI document containing local $refs and review the tool's current split and update settings; done should mean a documented, reliable way to update split files in place without breaking those references.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

I have a large openapi doc that uses a lot of local $refs (it totals like 600 yaml files), and is updated by multiple people, I was hoping I would be able to use this tool to update the documents in place but either I'm not using the right settings or that's not currently possible.
