Research direction

Start by reading the existing solutions in problems/palindrome and the repository's run.py test entry point. Add problems/palindrome/solution.c following the requested input, normalization, comparison, and output behavior. Done when python3 run.py palindrome passes all test cases.

Description

Description

Under the Contributing section of the README:

"- Add a solution in a language a problem doesn't have yet (solution.rs, solution.c, ...)."

Currently, problems/palindrome has solutions in C++, JavaScript, and Python, but does not have a C solution (solution.c).

Proposed Solution

Add problems/palindrome/solution.c that:

  • Reads a line of input from stdin.
  • Filters out punctuation/spaces and normalizes characters to lowercase using standard library functions (isalnum, tolower).
  • Checks if the string reads the same forwards and backwards.
  • Prints true or false to match the expected format.
  • Passes all test cases via python3 run.py palindrome.
