Assessment

This issue has not been assessed yet.

Description

Current behavior

reportFilename() in web/download.js generates filenames using only the problem ID and local calendar date.

When multiple interviews for the same problem occur on the same day, their reports receive the same suggested filename, making them difficult to distinguish by name.

Expected behavior

Include the local time in the filename so reports from different interview times on the same day are easier to identify.

For example:

  • Current: interview-report-two-sum-2026-10-14.md
  • Proposed: interview-report-two-sum-2026-10-14-153000.md

The proposed suffix uses the format YYYY-MM-DD-HHMMSS.

Proposed change

Update reportFilename() to include the local hours, minutes, and seconds while preserving the existing problem ID sanitization and date formatting.

Update tests/browser/download.test.js to verify the new format, including local date boundaries and different interview times on the same day.

This change only affects downloaded filenames and does not modify report contents.
