Start from the linked commit 9a4c016b1cbe98d6e9c6a661f8cc3e168cdf5f07 diff to see which field-sync/input logic changed, then reproduce with the linked bard-save-bug repo at /cp/collections/articles/entries/repro-entry. Trace the label field's keystroke handling to find where the second character is overwritten or reverted, and check issue #15501 for overlap. Done when rapid typing at the end of the field no longer drops a character and the existing frontend test suite passes.

When adding text to certain bard sets, some characters get lost.

How to reproduce
  1. Clone https://github.com/faltjo/bard-sets-miss-characters
  2. Open /cp/collections/articles/entries/repro-entry
  3. Click into the "label" field of one of the card sets and quickly append text to the end of the text already present.
  4. Notice that the second of the newly typed characters has vanished from the field. Looking closely you can see the character getting deleted while editing. If the error does not occur, try to click into the label field of another card set and start typing immediately. Make sure to set the cursor to the rightmost position.
