Research direction

Locate the empty test.js file in the gui area and verify that it contains no useful content or references. Remove the file, then confirm the gui still works and that the change leaves no required file behind.

Description

it's an empty file that has been sitting there for 10 years to do nothing at all. it was most likely an inactive dev who tried to debug an issue with their own computer in the early days of 3.0, and it can safely be removed imo.
