Research direction
The issue asks whether to evaluate an optional companion recipe for Markdown section updates, not for a change in the core. Nothing in the payload names a file, test or entry point in ripwire to start from. A useful first step is to check how ripwire's current Markdown handling and its published limits are documented, then design a bounded comparison of token use, correctness and retries. Done means a written evaluation plan agreed with the maintainers, not a code change.
Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
Description
ripwire already provides bounded structural code context and labels the limits of its results. Would an explicit Texio companion recipe be worth evaluating for named Markdown section updates? I am not suggesting a parser dependency in your core or claiming your current Markdown support is insufficient.
I maintain Texio, an MIT-licensed early-preview CLI. It reads and replaces Markdown by parsed heading structure and refuses missing or ambiguous names.
On a disposable README with Texio 0.1.3 installed:
texio section README.md Installation
texio replace README.md --section Installation --from body.md --dry-run
body.md is the desired complete section body, including any nested subsections to retain. The preview does not write. Installation and platform limits.
Would you consider one real task comparing the existing workflow with this optional recipe? Measure total task tokens/cache effects, correctness, retries and setup overhead. Savings in this integration are unmeasured. A native solution or no added tool may be preferable. I can help prepare a bounded comparison before any implementation PR.
