Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. First clarify whether the requested outcome is bumping React and ReactDOM to 17.x.x or allowing 16.x.x, 17.x.x, and 18.x.x; then identify the package metadata and validation needed. Done means the supported version policy is decided and documented by the project.

Description

Hi, folks.

I'm curious about the version of React and ReactDOM. Are there any plans to bumb versions of React and ReactDOM to 17.x.x? Or there is a way to set a range of versions for 16.x.x, 17.x.x a 18.x.x. So I'm asking about it, because we would like to use Ant components with React 17.0.2 on our project.
