Description
The error message is
Error in file(file, ifelse(append, "a", "w")) :
cannot open the connection
This is thrown from addWidgetConstructor() by the call to cat().
One easy "fix" would be to simply document the expectation (that the R directory exists) or provide a more explicit error message; another would be to create the R directory if it's missing.
The error is presumably rare.
