Direção de pesquisa

Start with steps/_console.ps1 and the registration code for the resume task; the issue identifies Wait-DevConfigKeyPress and the task's -RunLevel Limited setting. Trace how elevation is detected and passed through the WSL restart flow, then check existing tests or scripts for coverage. Done when unattended runs can skip the key wait and an already elevated run resumes without another UAC prompt.

Descrição

Every run ends in Wait-DevConfigKeyPress (steps/_console.ps1), which waits up to 900 s for a key, and after the WSL reboot the resume task (registered with -RunLevel Limited) asks for UAC again. There's no switch to skip either, so automation and wrapping tools have to treat the summary line as the end of the run, leave the console waiting, and tell the user to answer the second prompt.

Proposal: an -Unattended (or -NoWait) switch that skips the key wait, and, when the run is already elevated, registers the resume task to run elevated so the post-reboot half doesn't prompt again.
