Direção de pesquisa

Start by reading the Angular VS Code language service extension and how it handles directive and component selectors. Define the rename behavior for selector changes, including references across the codebase, then verify that only matching selector usages are updated without affecting unrelated text.

Description

Note: I do not know if this is the correct forum to raise this query related to vscode angular language service extension. But the extension page lead me to this forum.

In vscode, when i change the selector of a directive class, say 'selector': '[highlight]' change to 'selector':'[highlight1]'
attribute highlight that appears on all the elements in entire codebase does not automatically change to highlight1

Proposed solution

Changing the selector of a directive class should also change the selector that are applied to all the elements. Intellij can do this, but vscode unable to.

This should not be constrainted just to directive, but also to Component as well.

Alternatives considered

Rename the selector used on all elements manually by hand, which can be tedious, let alone be error prone. Can also use find and replace, but again, can accidentally change something unintended.
