Research direction

Start with the stats view at stats/views.py lines 331-354, which is where per-feeder stats are built, and find where the bot-version payload is handled so you can see where the firmware version would be read. The change needs to store that version on ManagedNode and let the stats be filtered by it. Done means the version appears on ManagedNode and the stats endpoint can filter by generation. This depends on pskillen/meshflow-bot#145, so check whether that work has landed first.

Description

enhancement meshtastic-2.8

Part of pskillen/meshflow-api#437 (Meshtastic 2.8.x support). Code: HP-3 · Priority: Nice · Size: S

Summary

Persist feeder firmware version from the bot-version payload. 2.7 and 2.8 feeders see different traffic (Traffic Management, pre-hop drops), so allow per-feeder stats (stats/views.py:331-354) to be split by generation.

Acceptance criteria
