Description

Type: Enhancement

Auto-discovery (getAutoDiscoveredTargets) registers only the /24 containing each private IPv4 address found on local interfaces and in /etc/hosts. The interface netmask is discarded and the routing table is never consulted.

There is currently no way for an operator to declare which subnets the agent should register. Hosts routed to many internal segments report only their directly attached ones.

Requirement: a config option (env var + flag) for the operator to declare the subnets the agent registers, with the declared input validated at startup.
