Research direction

The issue describes adding a zine entry and provides the zine’s title, creators, descriptions, PDFs, cover image, and activity details. An open linked pull request (#349) is already working on it, so there is no useful next step for a new contributor until that work is resolved.

Full description

Curated and produced by Dan Shiffman, Coding Train founder, and Cy X, Coding Train Community Manager.

This zine was originally published for the 2019 Processing Foundation fundraiser. Republished (with permission) on the PCD Zine Library for Processing Community Day 2026.

Some code examples are intentionally incomplete. Readers are encouraged to follow the corresponding Coding Train tutorials at thecodingtrain.com for the full sketches and explanations. This zine can be used for a self-guided activity or as support material for a creative coding workshop with a facilitator.

To assemble your copy, print double-sided on US Letter paper (A4 works too, but you might end up with extra margins, not a big deal). Fold the sheets in half, stack them together (making sure to preserve the page order), and staple along the fold. See this WikiBook page for instructions, especially the sections on folio folding and stapling.
