Research direction

Start at the ark --install entry point and trace how the Windows AppData destination is selected. Determine how an argument or environment variable should provide an alternate install location, then verify that installation into a separate conda environment uses that location.

Description

ark --install on windows installs into a fixedd location in AppData on windows. I am trying to install it into a separate conda environment. However, it appears that there are no argument in ark to permit it to install into a separate location.

It would be great if there were an env var or additional argument to control where it gets installed into.
