Research direction
Start by finding the tree-rendering entry point that displays folder markers, then trace how child Git statuses are summarized for a folder. Check the relevant tree tests, if present, and add or update coverage for a folder whose only changed descendants are ignored files. Done means that folder no longer shows a marker in that case; the alternative coloring and CSS customization are optional suggestions, not settled requirements.

Description
Currently, when a folder has children with git status, there's a marker next to the folder.
In my opinion, it doesn't make sense to display that marker if the only git status in the folder's descendants is "ignored", it just adds noise
Alternative: color the marker depending on the status of the children (rather than same color for any kind of change) and let us customize it with CSS.
