Research direction

Start by inspecting the existing pkg:github installation path in the nova-registry repository and how tool or LSP packages are resolved. Trace the package-source handling for gopls and define what successful pkg:golang support should accept and install. Confirm the behavior with the repository’s existing tests, if present.

Description

Hey there!
I'm working on my Golang extension and would like to use the Nova native tooling to install gopls..

Unfortunately this can't be installed via the pkg:github install method. Is there a way to allow something like pkg:golang to allow tools or LSPs to be fetched from the golang ecosystem?
