Problem
Varcode's remaining gaps against the openvax stack baseline are mostly tracked already:
- #612: pandas 3 (
requirements.txtstill allowspandas>=2.2.2and CI keeps apandas>=2.2.2,<3leg). - #640: Biopython in the
test-dataextra and five test modules.
One deviation has no issue: Python 2 __future__ imports in three package modules and the test package. Varcode requires Python 3.11 (AGENTS.md: "Python 3.11+"), and these imports do nothing on any Python 3.
