Research direction

Start in gknowledge/ui/window.py, reading the Gtk.DropTarget and Gdk.FileList APIs alongside _do_import() and _do_import_folder(). Run make start to try the demo project, then make test for the core tests. Done means dropping files and folders onto the Sources sidebar imports them, shows the usual toast, and works under Wayland and X11.

Description

area: ui good first issue

Nautilus-style drag and drop is the most natural way to add sources.

Where to look: Gtk.DropTarget with Gdk.FileList, _do_import() and _do_import_folder() in gknowledge/ui/window.py.

Done when: dropping files or folders imports them, shows the usual toast, and works under Wayland and X11.

New here? Run make start to open a demo project that restarts on every save, and make test for the core tests. See CONTRIBUTING.md. Comment below to claim the issue.
