Research direction

Open configuration_files/external_storage_configuration_gui.rst and review the existing Configuring External Storage section around the SMB options. Verify what “Verify ACL access when listing files” does, then document its behavior and configuration context there. Done means the option is explained clearly for administrators without needing to infer its effect.

Description

1. to develop enhancement feature: external storage good first issue manual: admin

When setting up an SMB share with External Storage Support enabled via the appropriate app, there's an option called Verify ACL access when listing files.

However, there is no documentation available, that I could find. Please document this option and explain what it does.

I would suggest to add the documentation to Configuring External Storage.
