Research direction

Read the List sorting and List.Table documentation or implementation to understand how sorting currently works. Decide whether column-header sorting should be supported as an opt-in and how it should interact with the existing sorting button; done means those questions have a clear, agreed answer.

Description

feedback to-discuss ux

So far we decided that sorting by clicking a column header is not needed; the List sorts via its sorting button. But people keep asking for it.

No urgency — this issue keeps the question open.

Open questions
  • Do we support header sorting as an opt-in, next to the sorting button?
  • How does it relate to the List sorting (List.Sorting) when the List is shown as List.Table? Two ways to sort the same list should not contradict each other.
