Research direction

Start by reproducing the local website build with Python 3.11 and compare the failure with the pyScss pull request linked in the issue. Investigate an alternative to pyScss that preserves the build's stylesheet processing, then verify that the website builds successfully on Python 3.11 and newer versions.

Description

To build the website locally, python 3.10 is required. In order to provide compatibility with newer versions of python we may need to find an alternative to pyscss.
Refer to this page for more details on why the build fails https://github.com/Kronuz/pyScss/pull/426
