Suggestion

Currently, it seems that if in your project pom.xml you use spring-boot-plugin and provide <excludeGroupIds> and <excludes> sections, these are not honored when starting the spring boot application. Same is also true for <jvmArguments>. For jvmArguments, these can be passed inside the args section when launching, but not so for exclusions. Is it possible to support the settings provided to the spring-boot-maven-plugin when running the application.

Use Cases

We have a lot of exclusions in the spring-boot-maven-plugin since our code is legacy and lots of old libraries. We use this as a way to make sure those transitive dependencies do not work at runtime using excludeGroupIds and excludes section.
