Research direction

Start by reproducing tfx extension create --manifest-globs vss-extension.json with the shown files entry in the manifest. Trace the CLI's handling of the manifest file paths and the failing lstat call. Done means a glob path is accepted and the intended matching JavaScript files are packaged without the ENOENT error.

Description

Area: tfx-cli bug

I wish package extension with the command

tfx extension create --manifest-globs vss-extension.json

I tried with a glob path expression in the manifest file to include some files and limit the overkill of node package:

"files": [{
	"path": "./node_modules/azure-pipelines-task-lib/**/*.js"
}]

But this fails with :

Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, lstat 'C:\Dev\Extension\Task\node_modules\azure-pipelines-task-lib\**\*.js'
