Research direction

Start by reading PEP 808 and the referenced pyproject-metadata PR #241, since this issue is blocked on that dependency. Once support is available there, inspect meson-python's metadata handling and project tests. Done means meson-python supports PEP 808's partially dynamic metadata.

Description

enhancement

See PEP 808, which was just accepted. Congrats, nice work @henryiii!

This depends on pyproject-metadata gaining support first, see PR https://github.com/pypa/pyproject-metadata/pull/241. Once that is available, we can add support in meson-python.
