Research direction

Start by comparing the existing muzi_base_uno PlatformIO configuration with repeater board configurations that include GPS. The issue provides a working configuration with ENV_INCLUDE_GPS=1, GPS baud rate, source filter, and dependencies; check which of these the official build needs. Done means the Base Uno repeater build includes GPS support and works on the board’s GPS pins.

Description

Muzi Works Base Uno...by itself....no superio..... lacks gps support compiled in.

I had asked about this in pull request https://github.com/meshcore-dev/MeshCore/pull/3457 and was told the goal of the PR was to get the stock hardware functional. That makes sense, but in terms of repeater firmware, many other boards have the support baked in regardless if the board contains a gps module.

I added support and compiled my own build - it works fine on the gps pins. I'm not too familiar with the pull request system or how to push in a change, i'm not sure if my additions are "proper"......but the config i used was this:

[env:muzi_base_uno_repeater]
extends = muzi_base_uno
build_flags = ${muzi_base_uno.build_flags}
-I examples/companion_radio/ui-new
-D ADVERT_NAME='"Muzi Base Repeater"'
-D ADVERT_LAT=0.0
-D ADVERT_LON=0.0
-D ADMIN_PASSWORD='"password"'
-D MAX_NEIGHBOURS=50
-D ENV_INCLUDE_GPS=1
-D GPS_BAUD_RATE=38400
; -D MESH_PACKET_LOGGING=1
; -D MESH_DEBUG=1
build_src_filter = ${muzi_base_uno.build_src_filter}
+<../examples/simple_repeater>
lib_deps =
${muzi_base_uno.lib_deps}
${sensor_base.lib_deps}
${nrf52_base.lib_deps}
densaugeo/base64 @ ~1.4.0
stevemarple/MicroNMEA @ ^2.0.6

I really hope this can be added in to official builds. Pretty please. Very intrigued to use this board in repeater builds (test enclosure is built) - lifepo4 has my attention.
