Research direction

Start by reviewing the discussion and merged pull request #1011, which is linked to this issue. The request mentions update notifications and a possible wt update command but does not define the expected behavior; clarify the desired scope and success criteria before considering further work.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

I see there is an ongoing active development. I dont want to miss features. Is there a way to check updates and inform user like claude / codex cli does.

And may be "wt update" for self updating?

Its not strict requirement for me but nice to have.
