Research direction

The two files are CONTRIBUTING.md at the repository root and .github/CONTRIBUTING.md. Compare their contents, then move the root file into .github/ (replacing the existing one) so only one remains. Check any relative links in the moved file, since its path changes. Done when the repository's Contributing tab shows the root file's content and no CONTRIBUTING.md remains at the root.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

there are 2 CONTRIBUTING.md files.

The .github one takes precedence in the root (ref). However it appears as though the intention is to use the one in the root.

The one in .github/ should be removed and the one from the root should be moved to the .github/ directory.

you can see the effective contributing guidelines in the main project page byt clicing in the "Contributing" tab, or following the contributing link in the project metadata -> https://github.com/lysine-dev/okhttp/?tab=contributing-ov-file
