Research direction

Reproduce the issue in version 2.0.1 on test.logseq.com using the listed steps, focusing on heading blocks while editing and deleting their text. The fix is done when the # heading format is visible during editing and an empty block no longer retains heading formatting.

What Happened?

When you try to edit a heading it won't show the heading format (#) anymore. See attached screenshot. Also the format of the header stays in the block when the text is removed, see second screenshot.

Second capture (formatting stays in place while there is not header text).

Reproduce the Bug
  1. Write something #Test
  2. Go to a new line, go back to the previous block. Notice that there isn't any # shown.
  3. Now remove the text 'Test'
  4. Go to a new line. Notice that the format of the header # is still shown although there isn't any text.
Expected Behavior

Show header format with the #.
