Research direction

Start by reproducing the drive-selection list in Timeshift using the Debian, KDE Plasma, rsync, and Btrfs setup described. Inspect how the backup-drive choices are presented and verify how Linux drive names are available. Done means identical-model drives can be distinguished by the names assigned to them.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Describe the bug

I would like to see 👀 the actual names of my drives that I named.
All of my drives are of the same brand make and model.
So I don't know which drive is which, because the actual NAMES of the drives I placed,
does not show up in the list.
For example: it only shows:
Samsung SSD 9100 Pro
Samsung SSD 9100 Pro
Samsung SSD 9100 Pro
Samsung SSD 9100 Pro

How do I know which drive is what? 🤷‍♀️
I don't know which drive is the boot, Home, Steam or Data drives because it won't show
the names I assigned to the drives.

System:

  • Linux Distribution Name and Version: [Debian v13.3]
  • Desktop: [KDE Plasma v6.3.6]
  • Timeshift Version: [v24.06.6] "no newer versions seen when doing updates"
  • Timeshift Mode [rsync]:
  • Display Server: [wayland]
  • Formats of Drives: [btrfs]

Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns 🥰
