Research direction

Start by reproducing the language and region selection behavior on Linux Mint 22.2, then trace the entry point responsible for listing available languages and regions. Done means Ukrainian and Ukraine appear as independent selectable entries rather than being grouped with Russia.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Distribution:
Mint 22.2

Bug description:
Ukraine is incorrectly grouped together with Russia in the language and region selection. This should not be the case.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Boot Linux Mint using a live USB.
  2. Try to change the system language to Ukrainian or set the region to Ukraine.

Expected behavior:
Ukrainian language and Ukraine region should be available and listed independently.
