Research direction

The issue names no files or tests. Start by locating Nestopia's controller and peripheral input implementation, then review how SNES mouse behavior is represented in Mesen and identify the relevant libretro input path. Done means supported NES romhacks can use the SNES mouse correctly, with regression coverage for the new input behavior.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Since there have been a fair number of romhacks, including one for Maniac Mansion, that add support for the SNES mouse to NES games it would be nice to have that supported. While Mesen already has such support it would be nice to have support in Nestopia as well.
