Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by reviewing how the repository currently calculates metrics and the spectral metrics described by Mooers et al. 2020; done means adding spectral metrics that evaluate performance on matching spatiotemporal heterogeneity.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Currently, metrics are calculated with respect to point estimates, which do not capture performance on matching spatiotemporal heterogeneity. Mooers et al. 2020 makes use of spectral metrics for a similar problem, and including them in this repo is a future task.
