Research direction

Start with the installation documentation's verification snippet and reproduce it in a clean Python 3.14.4 environment after installing PLEIADES 2.1.5. Trace why the first import requires the missing “nova” module and check the package's installation metadata or compatibility constraints. Done means the documented verification command runs without ModuleNotFoundError.

Description

I installed PLEIADES (version 2.1.5) via pip in a clean environment. When trying to run the script to verify the installation from the installation instructions (https://pleiades-sammy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html#verifying-installation), I already fail at the first line ("from pleiades.sammy.factory import SammyFactory") with a "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'nova'". I am using python 3.14.4.
