Research direction

Start by reviewing the transactional email infrastructure, account page settings, and the proposed Azure Function or hosted service entry point. Define how opt-in, unauthenticated unsubscribe handling, queue selection, and Pulse highlights fit together. Done means eligible users receive a weekly digest and can unsubscribe without logging in, after the real email sender is available.

Description

enhancement

Tier 4 — feature idea

Why

Nothing currently brings a user back to the app. A short weekly "3 things from your queue" email is the cheapest retention mechanism available, and it reuses the transactional email infrastructure required for the password-reset blocker anyway.

Sketch
  1. Opt-in setting on the account page, unsubscribe link honoured without login.
  2. A scheduled job (Azure Function or hosted service) selecting a few high-priority, non-archived ToLearn resources per user.
  3. Include Pulse highlights — completions this week, current streak.
Depends on

The real email sender (Tier 1 blocker).
