Check how DEV currently handles instance identity and how AWS CDK exposes termination protection. Done means STAGING and PROD preserve the instance during stack modifications while DEV retains its existing redeployment behavior.

My suggestion:
Add conditional behaviors if DeploymentStage is STAGING or PROD, so that:
- It uses a fixed id for the EC2 instance (otherwise, it redeploys. That's intended for
DEV) - see this comment on how to enable termination protection. (or is setting this protection too much?)
