docs/site/src/content/docs/tutorials/query-breg-client.mdx waits for a submitted Proposal with while proposal.document["state"] != "applied" (Python) and the matching Node loop. Neither loop has a bound. When automatic application exhausts its retries, for example during a dependency outage, applicationStatus settles as blocked while the Proposal stays submitted. The loop then polls forever: the tutorial gate runs until its job timeout, and a reader gets no recovery guidance.

Bound the wait (a deadline or an attempt count), stop when applicationStatus settles in a state other than applied, and print its state, reason, and recovery so the reader sees the next step.
