Problem

The ingest endpoint rejects STORE_FORWARD_APP packets with HTTP 400. In pre-prod on 2026-11-04, the PDYt bot log had 17 of these 400s before 08:15. Feeders retry nothing, so each one is a failed request and a logged error.

Expected

Pick one:

  1. Ingest it: accept STORE_FORWARD_APP, at least as a raw packet with its observation, the same as other unhandled port numbers.
  2. Ignore it: add STORE_FORWARD_APP to the bot's IGNORE_PORTNUMS, as is done for ROUTING_APP, so it's never sent.

Option 1 is preferred if the observation (who heard it, hops, SNR) is useful for coverage. Wave 2 of #437 adds unknown-port handling, which may cover this; check before building it separately.

Notes

  • Seen on main before the Meshtastic 2.8 work. It's not a regression.
  • Related: #436 (ingest correctness review), #437 (wave 2: unknown ports).
