Context
Text adventures suit blind and low-vision players well, and the player is plain DOM with no component library (ADR 0009 accepts the extra manual work for focus management and accessibility). The transcript is a role="log" live region and text contrast is unit-tested, but no audit has been done. The v0.1 screens were probed at 390 and 320 CSS px without horizontal overflow; one toolbar label is cut off at 320 px (#49).
Scope
- Automated checks: axe-core in the Playwright tests for library, game, action sheet, hint, settings, create and about screens, in all three themes (dev dependency only).
- Manual tests: VoiceOver on iOS Safari (installed to the home screen), TalkBack on Android Chrome, and keyboard only on desktop, each playing the demo pack to the end.
- Focus areas: new output announced once without re-reading the transcript; focus moves into sheets and dialogs and back; accessible names and roles for references, chips and toolbar buttons; contrast of UI components and focus indicators; text resize to 200 percent; reflow at 320 CSS px; focus order; status messages (toasts, score, new clues).
- File findings as separate

Acceptance criteria
- axe-core reports no serious or critical violations on any screen in any theme.
- The demo pack is completed with VoiceOver and with TalkBack; session notes are attached to this issue.
- UI components and focus indicators reach at least 3:1 contrast in light, sepia and dark (added to apps/web/test/styles.test.ts).
- New story output is announced once per command.
- The accessibility statement is published and linked from the about screen.
